Canadian Nuclear Labs (CNL) hired American DND in 2020 to provide Demolition Subject Matter Experts to act as the Owner’s Representative for oversight of the Contractors performing actual demolition work. This work is presently ongoing and the American DND SME has transitioned into the role of the Demolitions Project Director and we are now charged with being a part of the Senior CNL Project Decommissioning Team to demolish and remediate the White Shell Lab Facility located north of Winnipeg Canada. Work is currently ongoing and is in the planning, mobilization and initial preparatory activities to perform selective demolitions of out-buildings and to begin taking the facility to cold and dark. Full and complete demolitions are anticipated to be completed in the next two to four years.
