Overview of Services

A service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB), American DND serves clients nationally with the following services:

  • Hazardous waste clean-up
  • Complete decommissioning for industrial sites, power facilities, manufacturers, chemical plants, brownfield development, and government-owned sites
  • Open-air demolitions with radiological components

Initial Planning

  • Conduct environmental assessments related to decommissioning options
  • Perform long-term goal planning
  • Propose options for beneficial reuse of facilities and/or property
  • Propose greenfield options
  • Provide FERC estimates
  • Assess site or facility’s operating history as it impacts demolition means and methods
  • Identify facility constraints and restrictions to be placed on demolitions
  • Identify demolition impact to any existing or ongoing facility operations
  • Develop waste stream considerations and impact on demolition activities, public infrastructure, and transportation logistics

 

Managerial Considerations

  • Assess regulatory capital and considerations
  • Develop level-one managerial transition plans
  • Identify ideal contracting basis for decommissioning functions (time and materials vs. cost-plus vs. firm-fixed price)
  • Address security and site logistics considerations/constraints
  • Develop RFP(s) and project specifications
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses
  • Prequalify and review potential subcontractors
  • Assist with bid walks
  • Implement Integrated Safety Management (ISM)
  • Assess waste disposal options and forecasting
  • Develop waste minimization/optimization plans
  • Plan transportation logistics

Work Performance

  • Manage demolition equipment and any associated leasing arrangements
  • Ensure and monitor continuous improvement at craft level
  • Determine ISM effectiveness
  • Review implementation of procedures and work plans at craft level
  • Monitor behavioral change/transitions at craft level
  • Establish safety incentive programs
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and collect lessons learned
  • Enhance labor relations in union and labor-shop environments
  • Control and track work monitoring
  • Perform QA/QC oversight functions
